Reunion Committee has extended the registration deadline to Thursday, July 26.

July 27 – 29, 2007

WELCOME!  As an alumnus, of Queen Elizabeth High School (QEH), you are aware that throughout the school’s 65 year history, it has influenced the future of some 26,000 students.  The teachers equipped us with many of the tools we needed to succeed in our professions.  QEH alumni have played a pivotal role in the shaping of the social and economic landscape in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada – and beyond.

QEH has been a landmark on the corner of Robie Street and Bell Road since it was founded in 1942, but as things always do they change. June 2007 will see the last graduating class pass through the halls.  With them goes the school name of Queen Elizabeth High.  QEH and St. Patrick’s High are being replaced by the new Citadel High currently under construction on the site of the old Vocational School on Trollope Street.

Hence the motivation for planning the QEH “Last Chance Reunion.”  It is a significant way to celebrate the life of QEH, what it meant to each of us individually, and most importantly an opportunity to celebrate its existence and contributions with friends and former classmates.  Because of the school’s longevity it is possible to celebrate with three or four generations of some families.  So…

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!    July 27 – 29, 2007   is our “LAST CHANCE REUNION”

The planning for a tremendous reunion weekend has been underway for some time.  Our goal is to bring as many QEH alumni as possible together in July 2007 with great music in the background.  We invite you to share memories of academic achievements, extra-curricular activities and projects, Hi-Y, Twix dances, photographs, and some wonderful laughs.  Reunion events are coordinated to be enjoyed by all alumni who have attended QEH over the last six decades.  Make the most of this opportunity to reminisce, maintain friendships, renew acquaintances, and make new friends and new memories.  Thank you for visiting this web page and we would be absolutely delighted if you join us in July.
